Facility Description
Extra Space Storage of Newark, New Jersey offers climate-controlled storage units, which protect your belongings from harsh weather, including humidity. We are conveniently located near the cross streets of Elizabeth Avenue and Route 78, northeast of Newark Airport and less than a mile south of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Our facility has 970 self-storage units ranging in size from a 5’x 5’x 4’ locker to a spacious 10’x 30’ unit. Our knowledgeable storage specialists can help you determine the unit that fits your needs. Because we value our customers’ security, our facility has motion detection cameras providing 24-hour video surveillance and individual electronic gate access codes. And to make your move easier, we’ve implemented convenient features like elevators and moving carts. Our extended gate hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We enjoy being a part of the Newark community and many of our customers spend time at events at the Riverfront Stadium and recreating at West Side Park, Nat Turner Park and Mildred Helms Park. We have successfully served the communities of Clinton Hill, South Broad Street, Rutgers University, Irvington, Elizabeth, Harrison, Orange and Newark since 2012.
