Extra Space Storage of Lorton, Virginia makes moving in and out easier for military personnel, residents and businesses by providing drive aisles wide enough for semi-trucks, moving carts for interior units, large garage doors and drive-up units. We are conveniently located on Mims Street close to Gunston Cove Road. We are north of Interstate 95 (I-95), exit 161 Route 1/Richmond Highway and just five miles south of Fort Belvoir. Our facility has 638 self-storage units ranging in size from 3’x 4’ to 10’x 30’, some of which are climate-controlled for sensitive items. Our knowledgeable storage specialists can help you determine the unit that fits your needs. Because we value our customers’ security, our facility has motion detection cameras providing 24-hour video surveillance, electric gate access, a security floor level and a manager who lives onsite. Our extended gate hours, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., are longer than most other storage facilities’ and allow you to access your belongings when you need them. Our facility also offers a unique feature called DocuSign, an electronic lease that you sign digitally to save time. As part of the community, many of our customers enjoy attending the annual Lorton Independence Day Parade, recreating at Occoquan Regional Park and shopping at Potomac Mills Mall.
