Dymon Self Storage has partnered with Soles4Souls in an effort to collect gently worn shoes that will be given to people in need around the world. From April 1st through April 30, shoe donations can be dropped off at Dymon Self Storage. Monday through Friday, Dymon is open from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday they are open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

In September 2011, U-Store-It underwent a new branding and service model and became known as CubeSmart. CubeSmart recently introduced the new brand to the New York City area. All of its 24 New York locations will display the CubeSmart brand by the end of March 2012.

Ever since the world became concerned about aerosol cans damaging the ozone, people from all walks of life—business and private-- have been trying to do their part to help heal Mother Earth (or at least keep from damaging her any further). There are many ways in which a person or company can do so; on Saturday a self storage facility in Canada will be taking part in one.

Back in 1989 two witless time travelers sparked a catch-phrase that would stand the test of time much better than the movie that it came from. After Keanu Reeve’s Ted stated that strange things were afoot at the Circle K, for years to come there were “strange things afoot” just about everywhere. Fast forward to 2012 and the phrase still applies—especially when it comes to purchasing self storage units at auction.

Two years ago, the storage management of Pond Springs Storage in Austin, Texas, had a rental unit where payment was in arrears for six months. Renters behind in their payment aren't anything unusual in this business. However, when they opened the storage unit, they found something very unusual -- almost two dozen 55 gallon drums full of a strange liquid.
