Whenever a good idea becomes public there are a couple things that can be counted on: it is going to be copied by everyone under the sun (like all good ideas are) and then variations will developed in order to diversify the market place. Affordable Storage Centre in Canada Gives Back to Community

by Winnie Hsiu March 16, 2012 3:22 PM
As a wordsmithie, whose tools are words, I am always fascinated with words, their definitions and their usage. I am delighted with whoever the clever person was that named a charitable event that Affordable Storage Centre in Edmonton, Canada supports.

Affordable Storage Centre has been in business for over 20 years. They have facilities in Edmonton and Sherwood Park. Their facilities are dry and rodent free (which I assume in Edmonton is critical). Their Edmonton facility accepts deliveries for their customers. In addition to the excellent facilities and customer service, they participate in charitable events. This is where the clever word usage comes in. [More]

When the Idaho Land Board purchased a self storage facility in 2010 they looked upon it as a smart investment that would benefit the endowment. The industry had been doing well, and since it was the duty of the Board to invest the state’s endowment wisely the decision really appeared to be a no-brainer. [More]

It's interesting how television impacts real life - especially the self storage industry. Storage Wars, the reality television series shown on cable TV, has become wildly popular especially with folks between the ages of 25 through 54. Because of this popularity, the general public has an increased interest in participating themselves in the auction of contents from storage units. And this has impacted other self storage auctions across the nation. [More]

Self Storage Company Knows How to Have a Good Time

by Winnie Hsiu March 13, 2012 9:25 PM
When most people think of the self storage industry they think about an episode of NCIS where the terrorist hid bombs in a storage unit or the scene from Silence of the Lambs where something rather gruesome was discovered. Thanks to reality television, the casual observer now sees it as the possible needle in a haystack; a figurative diamond in the rough. [More]

by Holly Robinson March 13, 2012 1:26 PM
Sometimes when people think about self storage, they think mainly of the United States and Canada. Sometimes they might even occasionally think about storage in the UK or in Australia. However, there are up-and-coming self storage businesses outside of these areas - such as Stor-Age in South Africa. Stor-Age is one of South Africa's leading self storage companies. They have facilities in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, and Durban.

Like their sister businesses in other countries, Stor-Age provides storage units in a variety of sizes. They provide units for both private individuals and for businesses. And, like their sister businesses, Stor-Age is also concerned about serving their communities and helping people in need. [More]

Florida Self Storage Facilities Inch Closer to Seeing Lien Laws Change

by John Stevens March 12, 2012 6:36 PM
When the Framers were creating the basis of the nation’s government over two hundred years ago they wanted to be sure and do a few things. One of them was to make sure that the whim of the people would not be able to bring about change at the drop of the hat. They didn’t want the way the nation and its states to be governed by the passions of the people, but by cool, calm, and collected officials elected by the people to protect the people from themselves.
