The British imposed trade restrictions on the United States because of their ongoing war with France. The British pressed American merchant sailors into serving in the British Royal Navy. The purpose of a self storage facility is to provide space for people to rent so they can have somewhere safe to store their belongings. Without people to rent units and fill them up with stuff, a self storage facility’s purpose would go unfulfilled. [More]

For many industries there are only a few large companies that really dominate the market. For shoes its Nike, Reebok, and Addidas. For soft drinks it is Coke and Pepsi. For domestic beer, the market is dominated by either Budweiser or Miller Lite. Not all industries are like that though. [More]

History repeats itself. At least that’s what the historians tell us. Examples of this repetition include the killing of the Jews during World War II. The Rwandan genocide between the Tutsis and the Hutus happened in 1994. And in 2003, one of the worst humanitarian genocides in the world happened in Darfur.
Those are extremely unhappy times when history repeated itself. Today, I’d like to mention a much happier type of example of history repeating itself. – and that example is the growth of Amsdell Companies. [More]

Back in February in 2012 when Brian Bremer, Director of Operations, announced that USstoragesearch.com would expand their hours of operations to be open 24/7, he stated that people searching for self storage weren’t shopping around just during the hours of 9-5. His call center saw significant web and phone traffic at all hours of the days. So, having his call center open 24/7 made sense and the extended hours would better serve those looking for storage units and those owning and operating them.
