How Do You Handle Pesky Birds?

This spring, our area has been inundated with magpies. Their noisy squawking is annoying and cleaning their droppings off the patio, patio furniture, and sidewalk is a major pain in the neck. They are building a huge nest in our pine tree that I’m afraid the branch will break. Then, there are the robins. They eat all of our strawberries and raspberries before I can pick them.

Sometimes people think that a box, is a box, is a box when it comes to boxes for moving. However, not all boxes are made equal. Banana boxes have too many holes and are too flimsy. Apple and orange boxes are sturdier with nice fitting lids. If a moldy apple or orange hasn’t been left in it, they make pretty good boxes for storage. But not for document storage. The Passing of Robert Bret, Florida Self Storage Association Executive Director

Sometimes something happens that lets us know just how tenuous and fragile life can be. We express our deepest sympathies to the family of Robert Bret, the Executive Director of the Florida Self Storage Association. He passed away suddenly on June 7 while vacationing with his family in Jamaica. He was 40 years old. He is survived by his 13-year old daughter, his mother, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. [More]
