Every day, people face the decision to try meth. Many people think that there are benefits to using it but little risk. However, meth abuse costs the United States $23.4 billion annually.

Meth is the number one drug problem in Hawaii. Between 2005 to2007, meth use among tenth graders in Hawaii increased eighty-seven percent. Meth-related emergency room costs in Hawaii totaled $43 million in 2006. Hawaii ranks #3 nationally for meth-related treatment admissions. [More]

Red Mountain Storage in Boulder City, Nevada, recently sold for over $5.2 million. Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services was the company that arranged the sale.

Red Mountain Storage has 11,913 square-feet. Built in 2000, it sits on approximately five acres at 1675 Nevada Highway in Boulder City. Another section was added to the self storage facility in 2006. [More]

When I was growing up, my parents encouraged us to invite our friends over. So our home was always teeming with kids. One time, one of my brother’s friends asked if we had a maid. (We didn’t.) “But your house is always so clean,” he commented. Our house was clean because my mother taught us how to clean and then she made sure we did our share of work keeping it clean. (I guess you could say that we were the ‘maids.’)

Because families are different from each other, it only goes to say that some are tidier than others. This concept got SpareFoot thinking. They wanted to know which cities in America were the neatest and the most organized. [More]

People have always speculated what life would be like in the future. In 1910, people envisioned flying firemen and policemen (with wings on their back), robot-like barbers, an electric train from Paris to Beijing, and a phonographic machine that read the newspaper out loud to people. Other than ‘hearing’ the newspaper (via radio), none of these ideas came about.

If the pioneers in the self storage industry had ever speculated what the self storage industry would be like in 2013, they probably wouldn’t imagine some of the marvelous qualities and characteristics that the industry has today.
