The college semester will soon be over in a couple of weeks. If you have a self storage facility in a college town, consider creating a packing list to help college students as they pack their belongings up at the end of the semester. Drop off the list at apartment buildings, dorms, and on campus bulletin boards. Be sure to have your facility’s name and phone number on the list so students will know about your facility. [More]

Everyone needs someone they can feel like they should be able to count on. Batman had Robin; Tom had Jerry; Superman had Louis Lane—the list could go on and on. Collegiate Storage and Rental, based in New York City, recently launched their Ambassador Program. This program offers college students an opportunity to get real world experience in business, earn money at the same time, and go to school.
Metro New York City has twenty-three colleges, universities, and schools of higher learning. That means there are lots of college students – students that need storage at the end of the school year or help moving their belongings back home. [More]

How many colleges do you think there are in the metropolitan Chicago area? Two? Ten? Maybe twenty or twenty five? Would you believe that there are over 80 community and junior colleges, universities, and graduate schools? That means there are a lot of students living in the area.

Cardiff Self Storage, a storage facility located in the United Kingdom, has decided to participate in a campaign to encourage local college students to recycle unwanted items. The recycling campaign, called Get It Out for Cardiff, will donate clothing to the Salvation Army, and nonperishable food items to FareShare. The campaign will also benefit the British Heart Foundation and Raise and Give. So far the campaign has been a phenomenal success, raising several tons of materials to donate to local charities.
