It used to be that when a person walked down the street and appeared to be talking to himself people gave that person a wide berth. Nowadays it is common to see a number of people doing it; not because the world is going crazy. Thanks to modern technology there just isn’t as much need to interact with the immediate world around us.

Self storage units have been used for a lot of things, some of them illegal, but mostly legal. People have stored all sorts of things in them from old clothes and furniture to cars and recreational vehicles along with all sorts of odds and ends. However, there are some enterprising individuals that use there self storage units for more social purposes.

When the average person thinks about the self storage industry they think of a place to store their stuff. Nowadays when it comes up in business circles it referred to as a solid investment. Something you don’t hear it called too often is a place where culture and the arts can thrive and be inspired.

If a man paints with his brains and not his hands like Michelangelo once said then it could be said that a well-run self storage facility is a work of art. Most people would probably not agree with that (with the exception of the owner of said facility), but that hasn’t stopped many members of the self storage industry from supporting the Fine Arts.

The weather can really mess things up when it wants to. The destructive power of tornadoes and hurricanes is no secret to anyone. However, what can be just as destructive over a long period of time can be searing heat, biting cold, and overbearing humidity. This is true for people as much as for belongings.
