When Forrest Gump uttered the phrase about life being like a box of chocolate little those words became engrained in the lexicon of pop culture forever. People will forever be comparing things of all sorts to a box of chocolate because they feel like they never know what they are going to get. Coaches, bosses, supervisors, and all sorts of authority figures like to use a short, easy to remember phrase to ‘encourage’ their underlings to strive for success—keep it simple stupid. While it may not be the nicest way to go about motivating others there is something to be said for the basic message.

With the weather starting to become nicer across the country the desire to take a nice bike ride around the neighborhood or at the park can be a strong one. It is also the perfect time for people to move; the weather is no longer cold, but it isn’t too hot to make moving unbearable. The correlation between self storage and cycling doesn’t end there.

During the summer months, many cities across the United States hold celebrations for the founding of their city. Next week, Poulsbo, Washington, will hold their 45th Annual Viking Fest on May 17-19, 2013, to celebrate the spirit of their Scandinavian founders.

A recent article in the Washington Post indicated several signs that the economy in the United States is still slowly recovering. Because home foreclosures have dropped, the housing market is moving and sales are up. Loans have been repaid. Personal finances have improved. People are more willing to eat out, shop, or go on a vacation. Businesses are expanding. And Storage Post self storage is part of the upward swing in the economy.
