Sequels rarely work. Often times the second will be okay, but the third installment and on tends to be a miss as often as it is a hit; for examples see the fourth Star Wars movie, the last Indiana Jones, and the last six or seven of the Friday the 13th series. Much like the Friday the 13th series, the story that has developed around the purchase of a self storage facility by the state of Idaho does not appear ready to go away anytime soon.

News of a storage facility opening in the United States is something that would make the news, but likely would be a small article lost in the middle of the business section of the paper. With close to 50,000 self storage facilities in the United States, another opening is not really big news anymore. However, in the Kingdom of Bahrain when the first self storage facility of its kind recently opened up it was big news indeed.

One of the life lessons that many people are taught as children are that you can’t always have it the way you want it (‘it’ being absolutely anything), and that sometimes you have to take what you have and just make the most of it. With the way that modern technology advances there is no telling what the future holds for the world. Pretty soon we could all end up flying around like The Jetsons or maybe even have no need to ever get out of our recliners again like in Wall-E. For now though, we’ll just have to be satisfied with it making some of life’s little challenges a bit easier.

Is there a person in the world that does not know who the King of Rock n’ Roll is? Sing a few lines to ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ or ‘Blue-Suede Shoes’ while walking through the grocery store and you are bound to hear at least one other person join in. There is just something about the music of Elvis Aaron Presley that has managed to transcend time.

How many times on television or in the movies has the plot of a good murder mystery evolved around a shady land deal gone bad? The concept in Hollywood is a fairly common one. Who wouldn’t be mad if they invested thousands (along with lot of other people) into a venture only to see their money go up in smoke?

The word ‘green’ has become a major buzz word around the self storage industry over the last few years. Companies are doing whatever they can to reduce their carbon footprint on the planet by installing solar panels, using fluorescent light bulbs, and a variety of other things. Some are starting to take the idea of going green a step further.

During the holidays months it is not uncommon for many people to give to charity. Around thanksgiving and Christmas it is just natural for people to want to give to those that are less fortunate. The only problem is that they are less fortunate all year-round, not just during the holidays.
