When you are a kid you don’t think as much about remembering things; you live in the moment and don’t think too much about what’s coming next or what you are leaving behind. However, as you get older and live more you tend to want to hold onto some memories so that you can appreciate them and enjoy them for days, months, even years to come.

Remodeling your home is a messy job - especially if you are remodeling your kitchen. Dust is everywhere. You can't find what you need. You stress over which cabinets to get, whether to get granite or silestone counter tops, and if you should get a real oak floor or laminate flooring instead. Tons of decisions to make.

In the United States there are plenty of jokes that make the rounds every April in reference to paying taxes. Folks do not necessarily like to do it, but the law is the law—it has to be done whether you’re an individual or business. Tax issues are not germane to the U.S. though. Folks in the UK have issues with taxes just as much as in the United States— just ask the self storage industry there.

Have you ever purchased a software program and were stumped at how to use it? Many times the user manual is not well written and is confusing to understand. So when a software company holds a user conference, users are very eager to attend so they can learn as much as possible about the program.

When tragedy strikes there are a few people we expect to be there for us like friends and family. Beyond those that know us personally if the tragedy is bad enough—like the havoc that tornadoes laid on Oklahoma recently—we hope that the government will step in to help as well. Little do most people realize but help is often as close as your local self storage facility.

The success that the self storage industry has enjoyed in the United States is pretty well known. Over the last few years it has become known as a solid and dependable investment. How can it not be when there are over 50,000 self storage facilities nationwide, right? Countries around the world—like the UK-- are beginning to understand the joy of self storage as well.

What once were houses are now just piles of shredded and splintered wood. Cars have been flung around like toys. A local hospital is gutted. Two elementary schools damaged.
Random items remained unscathed. A cardboard box of tax returns sits on a pile of wood that used to be a home. An empty water bottle remains untouched in a home that was destroyed. A bathroom was left standing while the rest of the home is gone.
