It’s totally amazing all of the activities in the self storage industry. All of these happenings indicate that the industry is strong, vibrant, and growing. Here are three news items across the United States that are examples of what is going on.

First, a Charolotte-based self storage company bought a storage facility in Virginia-Highland. (Virginia-Highland is a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia, that was named after the intersection of two streets Virginia Avenue and North Highland Avenue. When I was growing up, my parents encouraged us to invite our friends over. So our home was always teeming with kids. One time, one of my brother’s friends asked if we had a maid. (We didn’t.) “But your house is always so clean,” he commented. Our house was clean because my mother taught us how to clean and then she made sure we did our share of work keeping it clean. (I guess you could say that we were the ‘maids.’)
