Self Storage Company Wants to Help People When They Need It Most

by John Stevens August 6, 2013 11:48 PM
People go in to business—self storage or otherwise—to make money. That is a well-known fact. There is a Compassionate Side to the Self Storage Industry

by John Stevens July 27, 2013 11:15 AM
To some who have lost things that they wanted after their self storage unit was sold at a lien auction there probably isn’t a compassionate side to the self storage industry. What those people would be failing to remember is that lien auctions are considered by many to be a regretful aspect of doing business, and not one that managers look forward to. Those same people are probably not aware of all the good that many self storage facilities do in the community either. [More]

by Winnie Hsiu June 24, 2013 6:22 PM
Sometimes something happens that lets us know just how tenuous and fragile life can be. We express our deepest sympathies to the family of Robert Bret, the Executive Director of the Florida Self Storage Association. He passed away suddenly on June 7 while vacationing with his family in Jamaica. He was 40 years old. He is survived by his 13-year old daughter, his mother, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. [More]

Self Storage Industry Continues to Prove How Amazing It Is

by Tony Gonzalez June 1, 2013 1:18 AM
A business that makes a profit is a good business. No—it’s a great business. How can it not be since that is the purpose of a business, right? While a healthy bottom line can be enough to call a business—like a self storage facility—great, it is not quite enough for it to be dubbed ‘amazing.’ [More]

Self Storage Industry Continues to Step Up When Needed

When tragedy strikes there are a few people we expect to be there for us like friends and family. America is a large nation. Now I’m not talking about in square miles, but at the waistline. The obesity epidemic has all sorts of people encouraging the nation to exercise more from politicians, professional athletes, and other celebrities to reality television shows and corporations—like the self storage industry. Man's Best Friend Gets Plenty of Love From the Self Storage Industry

by Kim Kilpatrick May 14, 2013 10:11 PM
Dogs are man’s best friend. There is no question about that. There is something about the loyalty, dedication, and commitment there is between a man and his dog. It is the subject of many a movie and television show because it is something that every guy can relate to. So who better for the self storage industry to show some love then man’s best friend? Self Storage Facility to Look Like No Other

by Kim Kilpatrick April 19, 2013 9:04 PM
Henry David Thoreau once said that the world is but a canvas to our imagination. What he is referring to is the ability for people to do whatever they want to do in life; that if they can imagine it they can do it. One self storage company recently had a vision of something they wanted to do. Through a little creative use of their (and other’s) imagination they got it done. [More]

Self Storage Companies Support Children’s Hospitals

by John Stevens March 28, 2013 8:24 PM
Self storage facilities are often active in charities on a local, national, and even international level. Choosing one has to be hard for a company to do. What kind of reach do they want? Who do they want to help? Do they want to be a primary donor or are they okay with being one of many? [More]
