Security Self Storage, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, has announced that it will be holding an "Eggstravaganza" on March 20 to benefit the s/">Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie. The Eggstravaganza, which is free and open to children between the ages of five and twelve, will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., but registration will start at 10 a.m. The event will be hosted at 501 N.W. Business Center Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL, 34986.

Boys & Girls Club is a nonprofit organization that provides enrichment activities for children in the community, especially children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. For example, the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie recently took a group of children on a field trip to Regal Entertainment's Free Family Film Festival (a trip paid for by a grant from Regal). The Boys & Girls Club also offers summer camps, after-school activities, and programs designed to help children develop leadership skills, good character, and health and life skills, as well as programs focused on sports, fitness, and the arts.

"We are delighted to invite the community to support the important work of the Boys & Girls Club," Stephen Block, Security Self Storage's president, said in today's TCPalm. "In addition to hosting the event, we are donating five dollars for every newly rented storage unit during the month of April to the Boys & Girls Club. With great food, games, activities, and prizes, this will be a wonderful day for the family."

Activities at the Eggstravaganza will include a slide/bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts, and games with prizes. The Grand Prize is four spring training tickets for the New York Mets. As well, Security Self Storage has invited the Easter Bunny to make an appearance, and children can have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. Refreshments will be provided by Little Caesar's Pizza.

Like many self-storage companies, Security Self Storage has a long history of supporting charitable organizations, including Toys for Tots, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Becca's Closet, Shoes for Orphan Souls, Treasure Coast Food Bank, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rotary International, NCH Healthcare System, and the Daily Bread Food Bank
