Self Storage Blog Series Helps Inform Newbie Renters

For new customers looking for self storage, the process can be daunting without some basic questions answered. Alleviating this stress is the impetus behind an informative blog series called “How to Use Self-Storage.”  Offered by Storitz.com, the blog series addresses the intricacies of self storage use and answers an array of questions for new customers just tackling the storage rental process.

Storitz.com, an online comparison and rental site for self storage, enables customers to search and compare storage units across the country. But new customers often have many questions, some that go beyond what an FAQ  page would cover.  Upcoming topics cover “Understanding the Terms of Renting Self Storage” on March 17, “How to Prepare Your Belongings for Storage” on March 24, and “How to Pack Your Storage Unit” on March 31.  On the topic of preparation, experts suggest cataloging everything that is being moved into storage so as not to lose track of what’s being packed away.  The Storitz blog staff will work closely with CEO Adrian Comstock who, during his tenure as VP of Operations at Magellan Storage “observed and absorbed many simple solutions for consumers moving into self-storage that can make the process much more efficient and less stressful” and looks forward to sharing them with Storitz customers.

The blog will serve as a reference source for storage customers across the country and will be expanded and updated. Storitz encourages blog readers to make comments and ask questions to improve the content and add to the broad depth of information provided to readers. Storitz aims at attracting customers like Yvonne Condes, a Los Angeles-area mother of two who blogs at yvonneinla.blogspot.com. She recently noted that her house is “clutter central” and that “The idea of a storage unit is appealing, but I don't know enough about it.” She is exactly the kind of consumer that Storitz is aiming to reach with this series.”

Blogging is being used by Storitz as an interactive customer service tool to reach new customers. The blog series will join Storitz’s traditional phone customer service, newly integrated click-to-chat Web functionality as well as its Twitter and Facebook communications/postings. Storitz aims to give first-time storage renters peace of mind that they are making the best, most well-informed choice for storage rental.

Started by former self-storage operators and technology industry veterans, Storitz.com lists available storage units at hundreds of facilities across the country. Consumers can not only search and compare the units, either near their home or near their future place of employment, but they can choose and pay for their unit online.
