New Jersey Self Storage Company Trying to Keep the Garden State Green

An educator once said that every person should use what Mother Nature gave them before Father Time takes it away. When it comes to personal attributes the culprit would be Father Time (along with one’s own destructive behavior). The person is not all Mother Nature provided to us; there is the planet that we live on as well.

For much of the last 25-30 years we have heard about the damage that many of the things we do and use every day has on the environment and that if we don’t take better care of Mother Nature we could very well lose her in the years to come.

To encourage people to reflect on the need for taking better care of our planet, and to actually do just that, Earth Day was created. In honor of Earth Day, and in respect of the planet, a New Jersey self storage company, Access Self Storage, has teamed up with AERC Recycling Solutions to help people take care of Mother Nature (and Mother Earth) by doing one of the easiest things a person can do—recycle.

“Earth Day is an important day that calls attention to our responsibility to our planet and the environment,” said Lindsay Landmesser, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, AERC Recycling Solutions. “Recycling is the best possible way of observing Earth Day, so we want to give as many people as possible the availability to do it easily in their own communities.”

Earth Day is actually on April 22, but the people at AERC and Access Self Storage decided to get started a little early and then work throughout the month. On different days through the month AERC will be at an Access Self Storage where they will help anyone wishing to dispose of electronics and e-waste.

Two of the dates have already passed, but there are still two Electronics Recycling Collection Events scheduled to be held at an Access Self Storage sites, the one in Woodbridge on April 16th and the other on the 23rd in Kenilworth.

Things that people can recycle include  computer towers, laptops, printers, scanners, CPUs, computer monitors, internal computer components, telephones, telecommunication equipment, cameras, hand held games, gaming consoles, computer accessories and peripherals, cables, wires and other electronic equipment.

Access Self Storage is not the only self storage facility to get involved with recycling electronics and e-waste. In January 2010,  A-American Self Storage announced that it will begin offering the service at its eight Reno, Nevada, locations. More recently, Budget Self Storage in Sarasota, FL, began offering clients the opportunity to recycle various electronic devices,
