Many businesses, self storage among them, are stepping up to help victims of the widespread, destructive tornadoes that ripped through the south recently. There are so many people affected over such a widespread area, these donations will potentially impact thousands of people in several states. Gracious acts of charity by businesses are much-appreciated by those affected and gives the businesses some well-deserved public recognition.
Among big businesses like Toyota and Wells Fargo and big-name actors like David Spade and Taylor Swift, are self storage companies that have taken notice and want to lend a helping hand. American Buildings Co. (ABC), an Alabama-based maker of metal building systems for self storage, set up an informational hotline for those affected by the recent tornadoes. People are encouraged to call 334-688-2355 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CDT if they are seeking assistance with locating contractors to rebuild or repair buildings or roofs. ABC will connect the callers with a local builder or roofer to help make fast, quality repairs so businesses can get up and running again.
“We have employees and customers throughout the state who were affected by these devastating high winds and tornados. We want to do our part to help, in any way we can,” said Ron Kuenkler, ABC president. “Many local buildings have been completely destroyed or need significant repairs, and ABC has the network of builders and roofers to quickly connect business owners with the resources they need to get back on their feet.”
Roofing questions can also be answered on the hotline by Architectural Metal Systems (AMS), a business unit of ABC. AMS manufactures and supplies of metal standing-seam roofing systems for new construction and roof retrofits. ABC has designed, manufactured and delivered metal buildings and roofing systems for more than 50 years.
