Three self storage facilities have recently won notable awards for excellence in their industry. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) Education Foundation recently named the Houston-based Proguard Self Storage a Winner of Distinction. Extra Space Storage of Estero, Fla., just accepted the David Graham Memorial Award for Excellence in Development. And Convey-All Industries Inc., a manufacturer of conveyor systems for a wide range of industrial uses and owner of Winkler Mini Storage in Winkler, Manitoba, Canada, received the Award for Business Excellence at the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce 2011 P.W. Enns Business Awards.

Since 1996, Convey-All has grown from 26 employees to nearly 200. The company also operates NuSteel Industries and is developing a line of outdoor wood furnaces. The annual P. W. Enns Business Achievement Awards are designed to raise the profile of the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce within the community and its membership, and celebrate the accomplishments of its members.

Proguard Self Storage, winner of the BBB award, is currently celebrating its 20th year in business and has five locations in the Houston metropolitan area. Proguard offers moving and packing supplies at every location and accepts freight deliveries.

“Our goal is to be as client-friendly as possible,” said Blenda Stapleton, Proguard facility manager. "We tried to think of every conceivable convenience we could offer, so when people think to themselves, ‘I could really use this right now' or ‘I wish that...,' we have a solution ready and waiting."

The David Graham Award, given to Extra Space Storage of Estero, Fla., was created to recognize completed projects that have raised the bar of excellence for developments within the Estero Planning Community area.  It is named after long-time Estero resident, developer and community promoter David Graham.

The Estero Extra Space Storage self-storage facility, located at 8420 Murano Del Lago Drive, is committed to customer service, security, convenience and professionalism. The professionally managed Estero facility offers 853 storage units for short- or long-term lease, with units ranging in size from 25 to 300 square feet.

The Estero Design Review Committee (EDRC) functions as a subcommittee of the planning panel to review the detailed architectural, landscape and signage plans for developments in Estero. It is composed of volunteer professionals in architecture, landscape architecture, development, engineering and business.

Jack Lienesch, speaking for the Estero planning panel and its design review committee, noted, "This facility has surpassed any conventional self-storage facility built in the Florida market. Besides providing a beautiful addition to the Coconut Point development, it fits in well with the existing surrounding structures, features top-quality landscaping and still preserves its self-storage component."
