Two webinars sponsored by SkilCheck and Storitz will be held next week to guide self storage owners and operators on the topics of auditing and optimizing your internet presence to showcase your self storage property.
The SkilCheck webinar is scheduled for May 19 at 10 a.m. PST and is entitled “Auditing Your Self Storage Property.” Hosted by Carol Krendl, participants will learn how to successfully audit their facility using SiteLink Software’s self storage management software. Offered exclusively for self storage owners, supervisors and property managers in charge of property audits, topics will include “Where are you vulnerable?” “Creating an atmosphere of deterrence,” “Determining compliance,” “Learn vulnerable times for theft & embezzlement,” and “Who is the most at risk?” All registrants receive SkilCheck Services' Self Storage Auction Forms Checklist at no charge. SiteLink customers can attend at the reduced rate of $49 per attendee. Non-SiteLink customers can attend at the standard rate of $99 per attendee.
The Storitz webinar is scheduled for May 18 and is entitled “ How to Show Off Your Self Storage Property Online.” Internet traffic continues to grow at explosive rates and self storage businesses are feeling the pressure to keep up with all the aspects that make up an attractive and effective website. As the only self-storage comparison and rental site, Storitz.com has positioned itself at the intersection of the offline self storage industry and the online world of ecommerce. The webinar will focus on sharing simple and low-cost tips and tricks for using the online space to its maximum potential.
Adrian Comstock, Storitz CEO, former VP of operations at Magellan Storage and a Los Angeles Self Storage property owner, will host the webinars which will also feature a question and answer segment and be available for view and download on the Storitz.com website after its initial broadcast. Storitz aims to help self storage owners and operators increase traffic to their own websites and ultimately increase rentals at their properties.
“At Storitz, we have positioned ourselves at the intersection of what were once two very disparate sectors. Self-storage has traditionally been a low-tech industry providing a plain and simple service, and the Internet has been about innovating change and maximizing technology to make our lives easier (but sometimes more complicated) and our ultimate goal is to facilitate the transition to the Internet age for all self-storage facilities. And especially for Storitz clients. Webinars will be an easy and effective tool for doing this and are eager to both share our knowledge and address our clients’ questions and concerns,” said Comstock.
