Golfing, Fine Eats, and Storage on the San Leandro Scene - An Extra Space Storage Featured Facility

Food, Fun, and Storage on the San Leandro Scene

With its arched entry way and mission-style construction, the San Leandro Extra Space Storage  self storage facility is one of the best looking businesses of its kind. Opened in August of 2009, the facility features units which can be customized to suit any customer's needs.

“We have 529 units with our configuration,” says the site manager, Paul Hunt, “because some are coupled together. It depends on how you combine the units.”

This unique setup allows customers to store all sorts of items, from family heirlooms and home furnishings to boats and automobiles. Getting to the building itself is an easy process, thanks to its proximity to several local freeways.

“We're pretty conveniently located,” says Hunt. “We're near the 880 Exit, and we're close to the 238 Junction. And we're not far from 580, either.”

Customers seeking some local entertainment may have a difficult time choosing between the area's many exciting destinations. One of the closest of these is the Oakland Zoo, less than six miles to the North. Hunt's Extra Space Storage facility also lies within seven miles of the Oakland Coliseum, home to Oakland's MLB and NFL franchises, the A's and the Raiders. With the A's locked in a three-way race atop the AL West, the San Leandro site is expecting a considerable rise in local business traffic.

For those more interested in playing rather than watching, the San Leandro Extra Space Storage location is positioned within easy distance of four different golf courses: Tony Lema's, The Alameda Municipal, Willow Park, and the Lake Chabot Municipal. The farthest of these is just over seven miles off, while two of the others fall within four. Also in the area is Heath Park, which features tennis and basketball courts.

After spending time on the links and courts, customers in the San Leandro neighborhood will find themselves faced with several excellent dining options. Among these are the Vallarta Restaurant, the Guadalajara Meat Market, and the famous Ricky's Sports Theatre and Grill. For dessert, travelers will also have the chance to stop in at the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. Hunt himself has a recommendation for hungry patrons:

“Pho Anhoa's down the street,” he says. “They're really good there. It's a Vietnamese restaurant. They have relatively inexpensive specials and pretty good fresh quality ingredients.”

To get in touch with the folks at the San Leandro Extra Space Storage location, call the company's toll free number: 1-888-STORAGE. Those in the local area can call them on their direct line, 510-351-9201.
