Self Storage Facility Puts a Little Heart into its Work

by John Stevens June 14, 2011 12:09 PM

A California self storage facility has combined customer appreciation with a charity donation and added a special surprise for one lucky customer as well. Storage Express, a state of the art self storage facility in Lancaster, Calif., will be hosting a “Super Sale” yard sale on July 9th from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and proceeds will go to benefit the Children’s Bureau.

Also that day storage units will be renting for just $10 to $20 with one unit containing a $1000 prize.  People are being asked to clear out their unwanted belongings from their home and donating them to the yard sale where the much needed funds will go to the children of Antelope Valley. The Children’s Bureau has been helping families in the Antelope Valley since 1985. They provide services to more than 1,000 vulnerable children and parents each year through offices located in Palmdale and Lancaster. They offer a variety of prevention and direct service programs focused mainly on families with children birth through age 12 including foster care and adoption, comprehensive mental health services, parent education and support programs.

“We’re really excited about our annual Super Sale in July. This year is extra special because we’re also celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We would like to thank all our customers and the community by hosting this event with free food, entertainment and prizes. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Children’s Bureau to help the local Antelope Valley youth. Please stop by to shop the sales, donate or rent a space!” said Rob Martin, President, Storage Express.

The facility includes state-of-the-art technology and building systems such as web-based reservations and payments, security cameras throughout the property, digital gate systems, and temperature controlled units and other industry-leading attributes.

The facility will have free food, prizes and entertainment. It offers people a fun way to help raise awareness and funds for the Children’s Bureau while getting clean and organized around their house and perhaps putting a little extra cash into their pocket. The facility is located at: 2103 West Ave. J in Lancaster. Storage Express owns and/or operates 3 self storage facilities.
