Self storage companies are very civic minded. They care about the community where they are located and participate in many charitable activities. They give back to their community and help those in need. This community mindedness has recently expanded to a company that serves the self storage industry.
GMR Web Team is a company that designs websites and marketing strategies for various companies. Their Self Storage Division announced that they will donate 10% of all of their sales that they get from Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) members to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas. For over ten years, the TSSA has raised funds for Shriners and GMR has aggressively joined in this effort and offered their support.
Warren Willard, Vice President of the GMR Web Team's Self Storage Division, said that his company is honored to partner with TSSA members in supporting such a noble cause. He commented that his company has had a philosophy since the company began of giving back to the community. He said that supporting a world-class hospital like Shriners is an inspiration to everyone. "It helps us remember what's important in life," he said.
Shriners hospitals deliver life-changing medical care for children - but without families being overwhelmed with heavy financial burdens. Shriners Hospitals for Children offer family-centered care where the child and family are at the heart of the medical team. Some of their specialties include orthopedics, burn care, cleft lip and palate treatment, and spinal cord injury. The Shriner's Hospital in Galveston, where the GMR will be donating their money, specializes in reconstruction and rehabilitation to children who have been seriously burned or who have other skin conditions.
The GMR Web Team's Self Storage Division has also partnered with the California Self Storage Association in support of KURE IT. KURE IT is a cancer research foundation that specializes in providing direct funding for innovative kidney cancer research. Other self storage companies that have partnered with KURE IT include Extra Space Storage, Inc., Green Spot, Storage Network Advantage, and US Storage Centers.
