I-5 Self Storage Participates in Health Fair and Expo

by Tony Gonzalez October 7, 2011 8:15 AM

I-5 Self Storage and the Tustin Chamber of Commerce partnered together to organize and host the First Annual Orange County Health Fair and Expo. The Expo was a free community event that promoted health, fitness, and wellness. Over three hundred people were in attendance.

I-5 Self Storage volunteered their spacious and clean facility for the event. The facility is conveniently located just off of the I-5 Freeway near Jamboree making access easy for event attendees and for organizations that had booths at the event. The facility had plenty of space for exhibitors to set up their booths..

"The planning committee did a fantastic job of organizing the event and volunteer staff was dedicated and enthusiastic. It'll be hard to top this event - but I know they are already brewing ideas," said Randy Scott Wong, owner of I-5 Self Storage.

I-5 Self storage and the Chamber of Commerce created a special committee to organize the event. Tracy Zimmerman from Extreme Boot Camp was the committee chair person. Kim tucker from Tustin Graphics oversaw the signage and Judy Mina was the MC for the program.

Many medical industry providers participated in the event: Doctor's Ambulance, Senior Health Screening Service, St. Joseph's Hospital, CHOC Hospital, and HOAT Urgent Care. Event attendees learned about these businesses and how they support health and wellness. People watched health demonstrations and received free health screenings.

Other businesses provided additional wellness and fitness information. Some of these included So Cal Edison, Birth Choice Clinic, Extreme Boot Camp, Tustin Bodyworks, Walker Therapy, Total Woman Gym & Spa, Magic Touch Home Care, and Dreamworks Dental.

Other booths included rehabilitation services, chiropractic clinics, assisted living options, orthodontics, insurance agencies, banks, dog services, and financial planning. Everest College and Costco Tustin also had booths.

There was a program of live entertainment throughout the event. Food and dining booths were also available.

I-5 Self Storage has a few extra perks that are not typical for self storage units. They play relaxing music, serve free coffee, and have a conference room and complimentary private work stations with free Wi-Fi. They also have a toddlers' play area with a DVD player and flat screen TV.
