The Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team will play the Edmonton Oilers tonight in the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Thanks to StorageMart, two people received free tickets to see this exciting game.
The lucky winners are Carly Campkin and Remo Sicilia. They will each receive two tickets to the game. They were randomly selected from a pool of several hundred entrants. It's interesting to note that Carly supports the Edmonton Oilers while Remo is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. How appropriate that the winners support opposite teams!
At the end of December, StorageMart opened the ticket giveaway. Entering the giveaway was simple. All a person had to do was go to the StorageMart Canadian Facebook page and fill out a short form with their name and e-mail address and a prediction of who tonight's winner would be.
Sarah Little, the Interactive marketing Director at StorageMart , explained that many of the youth and adult sports leagues in the area used StorageMart's units to store their equipment during the off-season. She also said that many of their customers are sports fans - and that Canadian's are sports fans. So, it made sense to sponsor a giveaway promotion for the game.
Toronto has won two of the three games against the Edmonton Oilers. They haven't played against each other since December 14, 2010. In that game, the Leafs won 4-1. Two weeks earlier, they played and the Oilers won with a score of 5-0. So, tonight's game should be full of competition and excitement. The Oiler's has a hot player, Sam Gagner. However, the Maple Leafs is in better shape as a team. So, depending on who wins, either Carly Campkin or Remo Sicilia will leave tonight's game satisfied and happy.
Assuming the game doesn't end in a tie.
StorageMart has done other sports giveaways. They have given away tickets to the New York Knicks basketball game and a Kansas City Royals baseball game.
