Everything is on the Up-and-Up for Self Storage Aggregator

Society today has become one that is all about ease and comfort. We want everything faster and with as little fuss as possible. Give it—whether “it” is a self storage facility or cheeseburger value meal—faster than the next guy and we’ll pretty much become a customer for life.

That is essentially the concept behind some of the self storage websites that have popped up recently. Due to the economy, people have found that they are in need of some extra space for a variety of reasons. However, with close to 50,000 of them spread out across the United States it can be a little daunting trying to figure out which is the right one for you.

People could drive around from self storage facility to self storage facility or call them up one by one, but that would take more time than most would want to invest. People needed a service that could tell them what self storage facilities were close to them, some basic information about them, and let them make a reservation when they found the right one.

To fill that need, in stepped USstoragesearch.com. The site acts as an online directory of self storage facilities; a virtual, specialized yellow pages. Despite the recent negative attention that has been paid to sites like USstoragesearch.com, this one at least is doing quite well.

“I think we can attribute the growth alongside nearly 100% existing customer retention to the years of trust we have built within the industry by always providing a quality service, the value of which can be easily measured in terms of additional bottom line profit for storage operators,” said Michael G. Kucera, President and Founder of USstoragesearch.com.

In 2011 the site experienced the highest year-to-year growth. It helps that they launched the Self Storage Network in March of that year as well. If the past can be considered indicative of the future, the site will likely experience even more growth as it continues to improve its product.

“…We nearly tripled the size of our programming department over the last 18 months so we would have the ability to maintain & improve the existing product line while simultaneously building some great new products designed to make online marketing easier and more affordable to all operators, especially small and midsized operators,” said Mike Jones, USstoragesearch.com’s vice president of operations.

Detractors of aggregate sites like USstoragesearch.com say that they are bad for the industry and that the problem is a need for companies to get better at integrating new technologies themselves.

Rather than have to hire an expert of their own or take the time to learn how to accomplish what sites like USstoragesearch.com does, wouldn’t it just be easier and more cost effective to just hire the experts to do it for you? That their success and gorwth can help you succeed and grow!
