Extra Space Storage is thrilled to open a new Niceville, FL facility in partnership with GHK Developments. The coastal-inspired property features 802 storage units and 76,070 net rentable square feet. Unit sizes range from 5×5 to 10×20 and include amenities like climate control, drive-up access, and elevator access.
The site was developed and is owned by GHK Developments, and Extra Space Storage manages the property through its Third-Party Management program. GHK Developments, Inc. is a leading commercial real estate developer serving the southeastern United States. They’ve developed multiple Extra Space Storage locations in Louisiana and surrounding states.
This unique Niceville property is located at a prime retail intersection, prominently positioned at a traffic light entrance to a Walmart Supercenter and across the street from a new Chick-fil-A restaurant.
“The development site was obtained from a long-time local family who was concerned about the appearance of the facility,” said Tom Connolly with GHK Developments. “The family had approval rights over the design of the facility; however, when we presented them with this coastal Florida architecture, they were delighted.”
Extra Space Storage currently manages six self storage locations for GHK Developments, with plans for three more stores to open by the end of summer.
“This design has already received much positive feedback from the local community,” Connolly continued. “We have a tendency to look at projects through a retail lens which helps create a more attractive product for customers.”
