Extra Space Storage is thrilled to announce the addition of 50801 Executive Dr in Macomb, MI, to our ever-growing portfolio. This new facility is part of our third-party management platform, which is in partnership with SafStor, Inc.

The state-of-the-art facility features 788 units and 77,504 net rentable square feet. The three-story building is fully climate-controlled and offers a variety of unit sizes to meet all storage needs.

SafStor, a developer and owner of self-storage properties, has a footprint spanning the eastern United States. “We are proud to partner with Extra Space to open our new store in Macomb, MI,” said Ryan Rapolas, VP of Asset Management at SafStor. “SafStor was founded in 2017 and Extra Space has been our partner from our very first store. This project is part of our growing portfolio with nine properties currently managed by Extra Space Storage, 47 completed development projects, and over 16 in the pipeline. We are proud to have great partners who allow us to work at this scale.”

With the successful launch of this new facility, Extra Space is proud to continue building and strengthening its partnership with SafStor. Early reviews are already praising the new site for its excellent amenities and customer service.

“As with many new ground-up developments, delays are inevitable,” shared Extra Space Storage District Manager Scott Vogel. “But this allowed our team plenty of time to fully prepare the facility before opening day. We had amazing collaboration and coordination from local store leaders and other departments across the company, working as a team to grow Extra Space Storage and get this facility open.”
