Each month at Extra Space Storage, we recognize employees who go above and beyond in caring for our customers with our Customer Care Award. We’re happy to announce Ed Evanoski as the January 2021 recipient.
Evanoski, a Store Manager in St. Peters, MO, was selected as a Customer Care Award recipient because of his ability to make each customer’s experience special. Extra Space Storage received the following message from a customer who appreciated Evanoski’s kindness and was pleasantly surprised that he remembered her when returning to the store months later.
“I met Ed a few days after the passing of my father. His kindness settled me in a time of having to lay my father’s body to rest, address family and unresolved family strife. That was almost six months ago. When I returned to remove my dad’s things to a more permanent destination, of all the people that Ed sees regularly, and even with my mask on, he remembered who I was. CUSTOMER FOCUSED SERVICE!”
Not only did Evanoski provide this customer with a good experience as she started her journey with Extra Space Storage, but he also made her feel cared for and appreciated as she came to move her belongings out of storage. The move-out process can be a forgotten element of the overall customer experience. But we believe the move-out experience plays a vital role in our ability to gain returning customers, receive word-of-mouth referrals, and maintain an exceptional brand. Although the customer’s rental journey has come to an end, because of employees like Evanoski, their loyalty will continue.
