Very clean and organized units. Dennis the manager takes his job very seriously and is very thorough. Checking in was easy and well explained. After renting at other places in town this is by far my favorite. Highly recommend!

Staff at Extra Space Storage on Fair St., Santa Cruz, were so very helpful to me. They were straight talkers about the terms of the rental and about the pros and cons of the various options I was considering. I just began moving my items into the space and felt safe in terms of safety and current health protocols.

For my move in: Super easy process and really helpful staff, during an especially stressful time For my move out: I would stay as far away from Dennis as possible. He’ll try to stay exactly 6 feet away from you, even if you’re asking to put your mask on first

Honestly I was scared to put my stuff in storage because I've heard so many bad horror stories! However, I had my personal items start there for almost 2 years with no complaints whatsoever! There is someone always on premises and although it's a sketchy location I had no problems and would refer them to my family and friends!

Manager Dennis was helpful, friendly, and even compassionate as I was in the grief process when I came to move into my storage unit. He was transparent with pricing and seemed to be a good advocate for me as a customer.

Very good management, keeps things clean and well run. Prices seem competitive, but it is still expensive. However unlike some storage places, there is nobody on-site except during office hours. Some storage places alarm the individual units and key the alarm to the entry of the corresponding gate code. Not here. So units are vulnerable to anyone with 60 seconds and a portable angle grinder, especially the outside units. Another problem with the outside units: when they blow off the driveway a lot of dirt goes under the door into your unit. I've had three separate units here and they all had that problem. I still like this place, it's very convenient and the staff is excellent. But I've seen better.
