I pulled in to rent a storage unit and accidentally wandered into the greatest Florida documentary ever made. Joey isn't just the storage guy—he's the legendary Golf Cart Cowboy. They say if you whisper, "I need another unit," three times into the Florida humidity, he'll appear around the corner on a golf cart before you've finished the last word. He's never in a hurry, yet somehow he's already everywhere. I'm convinced he doesn't drive the golf cart... he and the golf cart have simply become one. Then there's his monkey sidekick. Nobody knows where it came from, nobody asks questions, and I'm about 97% sure it's actually the District Manager. It just stares at people with the disappointed look but doesn't actually do anything. I brought in a giant disco ball and my prized collection of little dog statues. Joey didn't even flinch. He just smiled and said, "Yep... we've got a unit for that." That's the kind of confidence that only comes from surviving years in the Florida storage business. The place is cleaner than my own house, more organized than my life, and so secure I think my dog statues have already filed a change of address. Five stars. Joey is a Florida legend, the monkey is definitely undercover boss and if they ever put a saddle on that golf cart, I'm coming back just to watch him ride into the sunset.
