She took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me find the right storage unit for my needs. Truly appreciate her support—highly recommended!

I was searching for a storage unit closer to home and decided to check out Extra Space Storage. After inquiring about a few units, I was connected with Anna at the Pearl City location and asked for a follow-up call. With my busy schedule, I sometimes forget, but Anna made sure to call me back on the exact date I requested—she’s amazing! She took the time to show me different units so I could get a feel for them before making a decision. She explained everything so clearly and thoroughly that I barely had any questions, which I really appreciated. When I needed more time to decide on a rental date, I asked for another follow-up, and Anna was quick to reach out again. She was also very accommodating and flexible with timing, which made the whole process stress-free. The rental process itself was simple and straightforward. Anna was transparent about all the policies and made sure I understood everything. She also reassured me that they’re willing to work with me if anything comes up, which made me feel valued—something I didn’t experience at my previous storage facility. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

The gals in the office had a whole lot on their plate. They stopped what they were doing, showed me a variety of units and helped me get into the right one. Paperwork was finished and I left with everything I needed taken care of. Edited to add: That was all true. The process to get a place was easy. The place is very understaffed so them taking the time was helpful. Things went downhill and never really leveled off. I wanted a safe clean place and a safe environment to come and go from. None of that ever panned out. They have a ton of cameras. Only a few of them work at one time. I wanted well lighted and clean facilities. It was dark and creepy. I wanted a working access control system. They doors and gates work some of the time but often as not, some aspect of that was broken. We went 6 months with the doors so bad that I was surprised when they finally got fixed and I had to input my code to get in. The smell isn't exactly a spring meadow. It is an old warehouse without any kind of climate control. It gets pretty hot in the summer and stuffy from water getting in during big rains. The staff does the best they can to keep it clean but there is only so much that so few people can get done. The bathroom is awful. Again, they really do clean it but if it wasn't an actual crime scene, it could play one in the movies. You can't mop away broken doors, cracked toilets and permanently stained floors and walls. All of this combined was a lot. I rented a parking stall from them for a while. My vehicle got broken into one night but none of the cameras caught anything so the police had nothing beyond my damaged vehicle to go on. One night a homeless person was sleeping inside to get out of the rain. We scared the crap out of each other when I went to get things out of my unit. I came in one day to see junk scattered everywhere. One of the units had been broken into the night before and staff hadn't seen it yet. Also, let's not skim over the dark and creepy part. The lighting is terrible. My daughter flatly refused to go in there if I wasn't with her. At one point they accidentally set the place on fire when they were welding one of the units back together. We didn't have access to that part of the building for months. They did offer me a single free month of rent to compensate. I put up with all of that but the thing that pushed me out was the pricing. Every 6 months or so I'd get a tiny postcard with tiny writing in the mail informing me of another increase. They are pricing these units like a they are a safe place with climate control, security, adequate lighting or working access control. I moved into a different facility and marveled that I was getting the basics for less money. If my family asked me whether they should rent from this place, I'd tell them they can do better for less money even if the first few months seemed like a good deal.
