????WARNING???? - DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY - DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM - STAY AWAY???? I do not like to air my laundry in public but this time I am left no choice. Whatever you do, save your mental health and your personal safety and do not do business with this company. I have maintained a storage unit in this building since 2022 when I sold my late mother’s home after she died from medical malpractice at Nyack Hospital. Her death result in a series of events with the Rockland DA and the Clarkstown Police which are currently before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Needless to say the immense strain of the lawsuit, stemming from being wrongfully arrested in my home after I was assaulted in my home by Clarkstown Police Officer Anthony Culianos has placed me in a very difficult position in life. I am confident that I will prevail in the end and Culianos and Robert Nuendorf will be held accountable for violating my constitutional rights. But today I took the train to Tarrytown from the city where I now live and the bus to the mall and walked to Extra Space because I need to get things from my unit. Apparently because the people who work there have no idea how to produce an invoice from their system, it caused a delay from the NYC Department of Social Services to send them a check - which, oddly was sitting on their desk. I asked if there was any thing they could do to help me so I could get into the unit and they said no. I have been paying this for 4 years. The fact that the payment has been delayed was a result of their own incompetence and the fact that the city sends checks. What can I do? Throughout this ordeal these last years, many companies have recognized my humanity and waived fees when possible - especially due to situations beyond my control. But not Extra Space. All they care about is banging you out for whatever they can. But what’s worse is when I spoke to the girl who worked there she apparently told her supervisor that I cursed her out and threatened her. There is just one problem - I recorder the interaction - at no time did I curse at her - at no time did I threaten her. But because they didn’t want to deal with me they were ready to Karen me so they could call the same Clarkstown Police and claim I made threats. The recording undisputedly proves otherwise. Again, while I may have used swear words, so did she. It’s just normal spoken language. But because they are the company - I am lucky I just walked away and came back to the mall before they could find an excuse to get me falsely arrested because the minute a company is telling you that you threatened their employee (when you never did) that is the logical inevitably. So I bounced. I am at the mall. I am working out the payment - and I am getting my stuff out of there for good. My warning is this - when you sign a contract with a company who is willing to lie about you to your face accusing you of making threats you never made you can wind up in a world ofs problems that is exactly what happened to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY. They don’t care about anything but banging you out (even the employee working there told me that on the recording) and they will willingly lie about you to the police which can really wreck your life. It’s already happened to me - that’s why I am in the situation I am in. These people will do it to you too. You have been warned. God Bless ????™?
