Living in Las Vegas can be affordable, mostly due to low taxes. In fact, there is no Nevada state income tax because of all the money tourists bring into the state, making the Entertainment Capital of the World one of the best big cities to live in. Plus, with social security, withdrawals from retirement accounts, and public and private pensions also untaxed, Las Vegas is a great place for retirees to live. Residents also pay 7% less for healthcare compared to the national average, and 21% less for electricity! Las Vegas also has reasonable property taxes, making it a great place to buy a home and one of the best cities for investing in Airbnb.
