Extra Space Storage is happy to share that we’ve been named among the Extra Large Companies (i.e., companies with 2,500+ employees) in the list of Best Companies to Work For 2020 by Utah Business.

Utah Business—which provides award-winning, in-depth journalism centered on the businesses at the forefront of the tech and entrepreneurial industry shaping our nation’s economy—releases its list of Best Companies to Work For each year. The businesses recognized within are determined by employee surveys conducted by Utah Business and categorized into Micro, Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large companies.

In creating the list of Best Companies to Work For, Utah Business employs a rigorous vetting process. Through the use of Qualtrics survey technology, employees are asked to fill out anonymous surveys ranking their companies on factors such as management, pay equity, vacation time, and more. This year, in addition to the anonymous employee surveys, Utah Business took note of the companies that had stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic and how that had shaped employee responses.

This accolade from Utah Business is yet another wonderful recognition Extra Space Storage has received this year. Not only were we included in the Employees’ Choice Award for the Best Places to Work in 2020 from Glassdoor, but we were also acknowledged by Utah Business in their annual Fast 50 list, which highlights achievements in entrepreneurship, innovation, and revenue growth.
