New Life Storage Facility Opens its Doors in Brownsville, TX

Extra Space Storage is thrilled to announce the newest addition to our Third-Party Management platform—a new Life Storage store! As part of our diverse family of brands, this new Life Storage location at 1795 Coffee Rd in Brownsville, TX, is a modern facility with the essential features you expect when looking for self storage.

This multi-story climate-controlled building is designed to protect customer belongings from the Texas heat. The facility houses 828 units and a generous 86,283 net rentable square feet to accommodate many storage needs.

District Manager Erica Rodriguez shared her excitement about the new site, stating, “Customers were eager for this new facility, and now that opening day has arrived, the team is beyond excited to make customers happy!”

A highlight of this location is our new partnership with Bakke Development Corporation, headquartered in San Antonio, TX. They recently joined our ManagementPlus platform, bringing their vast expertise to our industry-leading third-party management program.

Since 1996, Bakke Development has been a trusted name in the commercial real estate industry. They specialize in mixed-use land development, encompassing multifamily residences, self storage solutions, and retail shopping centers.

“Bakke Development is an amazing team,” Erica continued. “They are heavily involved and are always asking what we need to make their site the cleanest and overall best-looking site around. I’m proud of the outcome and thank the entire team for making it happen.”

Eric Bishop-Berry, our Third-Party Management Vice President, also acknowledged the value of strong partnerships, stating, “One of my favorite parts of working in third-party management for Extra Space is maintaining and creating new relationships with industry professionals. Our team is looking forward to working with the Bakke team on this great property and the future success of this partnership.”

As we open the doors at 1795 Coffee Rd in Brownsville, TX, we want to thank everyone involved, especially our partners at Bakke Development and our local store leaders—Store Manager Felisha Garza and Assistant Store Manager Juan Delgado—who will undoubtedly make this location a first choice for customers in need of storage.
