I'm very pleased with the storage facility here. It is close to my residence and easy to access. The place is clean and well maintained. The manager has been very helpful if I forget the code to open the gate. Overall I have had a good experience with Extra Storage and how much more can one say about a storage place.

Place will sometimes fail to notify you of rent increases. Every increase they state they need it to maintain the facility. However light switches remain missing, timers on the lights missing, sliding lock on doors falling off - not replaced (no effort by them to replace) They have NO discounts or programs for those in the Military, Senior Citizens or the disabled. Company treats you as if you aren't the customer/tennant and instead are burdening them with you business. For those in the military I strongly DO NOT recommend using Extra Space Storage to store you property for almost any length of time. Before you know it you could see your rent increase sometimes every 6-8 months. The increase can be as much as 5%-10% but nothing is improved at the storage location. Customer Service at the corp. level admits locations *increase based on demand. So if you happen to store your property at an active location you will pay more than a less active location So you would need to know the status of the city and location to know if they are in demand (for example a fast growing city/town/region) you will pay for that space. Think of this as the current problem we see in many cities. Overpriced housing, as they know they can get more on the rent/sale with new buyers, Extra Space Storage seems to operate on the same priniciple. For senior citizens and the disabled I say the same thing. Pay the going rate or you can leave as they have those who will pay more for your space because of the perceived value of your spot for new cust They show an utter lack of customer service. Our location was under different ownership till Extra Space Storage bought the company and its various locations. Rent has increased at a much faster pace under their management. Rent under other company didn't increase as often or at a high rate as of a % of what you pay. I strongly recommend NOT to do business with Extra Space Storage. Look elsewhere first.

The place is clean, easily accessible, etc.... BUT I have been a customer only 13 months and already they have raised the price TWO TIMES, a total of THIRTY DOLLARS more than I started. I called to ask why, and they just said cost of doing business which can't be true. I have friends and relatives who have similar spaces in the same town and haven't had a price increase in 10 years. This is inexcusable! I am moving out to one of these other places. Don't trust Extra Space's low move-in, they will increase it immediately and you will have no recourse. I learned my lesson the hard way. I am moving my stuff out today. SHADY business, price gouging.
