Extra Space Storage is excited to announce the opening of a new Life Storage facility at 2003 W Whispering Wind Dr in Phoenix, AZ. This new site expands our services and commitment to meeting a wide range of storage needs in the southwest.
The project was completed in partnership with Garrett Development Corporation, a developer based in Scottsdale. Garrett Development specializes in the acquisition, development, investment, and management of commercial and residential land. Their extensive experience in building and acquiring self storage facilities throughout the southwestern U.S. has made them invaluable partners for several of our projects.
“The level of excitement with the store team was off the charts when we received the final signoff to open,” said Shay Carpenter, Extra Space Storage District Manager. “The team had been anticipating the opening of this store for months.”
The new Phoenix facility, with its 1,148 units and 116,588 net rentable square feet, is designed to accommodate a wide range of storage needs. This multi-story property offers both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled units, providing flexibility for various storage requirements. Customers can choose from units as small as 4×4 to as large as 10×35, ensuring that everyone from individuals to businesses can find the perfect storage solution.
In addition to traditional storage units, the facility offers a wide range of vehicle storage options, including covered and uncovered spaces for cars, boats, and RVs. This makes it an ideal choice for customers looking to store their recreational vehicles and other large items securely.
The successful opening of this facility is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our partners at Garrett Development, as well as our local team members. We extend our thanks to Store Manager Sherry Charpentier, Assistant Manager Bobby Wilcox, and District Team Lead Mike Ball. Their efforts have been instrumental in bringing this project to life and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
