On our website, we have a tool that asks customers about their experience when renting self storage with us. This tool is typically used to receive feedback from customers on how they felt about the process. Recently, a customer had such a fantastic experience with one of our District Team Leads in Atlanta, Brittanie Smith, that they went back to our website after their rental just to share what a positive encounter they had.

After sharing this feedback with Iveth Rubio, Smith’s District Manager, we learned that receiving positive feedback on Smith’s customer service is a common occurrence. When working with other employees and even external vendors, Smith is known for her kindness and ability to get things done while keeping the customer in mind.
To show our appreciation for Smith’s dedication to the customer experience, we’re proud to announce her as the first recipient of the Extra Space Storage Customer Care Award. Launched in September 2020, the Customer Care Award is a way to recognize our store employees who go above and beyond in caring for our customers. Each month, one outstanding store employee will be recognized with a company-wide announcement and sent a personalized care package from the Customer Experience team.
