Each month at Extra Space Storage, we recognize employees who go above and beyond in caring for our customers with our Customer Care Award. We’re happy to announce Jennifer Fife and Pati Price as the October 2021 recipients.
Jennifer Fife, Store Manager
The Customer Care Award is designed to highlight team members who provide excellent customer experiences. That’s why we usually gather customer feedback from customer surveys or Facebook and Google reviews. But on occasion, we receive feedback from other sources, and that was the case here.
Fife manages a third-party-owned property, and after a recent visit, the owner reached out to share their experience.
“Jennifer is the manager on site. When we got there, she was cleaning the property and you could see how hard she was working. She sees all the potential in the property and works for that potential. When I spoke with her, she said she liked working at Extra Space Storage because of how strong the company culture is. Frankly, she was amazing and just the person we need at this store. She has an amazing attitude, was really hardworking, had the property spotless, and really knew the store.”
Interactions like this are so valuable and make such an impact. Extra Space Storage leads the industry in third-party management, partly because of team members like Fife. The passion she brings to her job is felt by owners and customers, and directly impacts company growth.

At Extra Space Storage, it’s not just about space. It’s about helping people to a better tomorrow. We know that people often need storage during high-stress situations like moving, divorce, death, or home renovations, and sometimes our customers just need to be heard. This review stood out simply because you can sense the relief of the customer.
“Pati was so non-judgmental and helpful, and most of all reassuring while helping me with my overdue bill. She seriously made my whole month by reducing so much of my fear and anxiety worrying about losing my unit.”
Price listened to the customer and calmed any anxieties they may have had. Sometimes, the best solution is not the result of the decision made for the customer, but rather, how the situation was handled.
