Each month at Extra Space Storage, we recognize employees who go above and beyond in caring for our customers with our Customer Care Award. We’re happy to announce Seantay Owens-Simon and Windy Lopez as the April 2024 recipients.
Seantay Owens-Simon, Store Manager
Store Manager Seantay Owens-Simon is known for her welcoming and personal touch. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that each customer feels valued and supported throughout the entire customer journey. She works hard to ensure that customers have a great experience at every stage of their rental experience.
From an Extra Space Storage customer: “Seantay is an incredibly good manager and hostess. I say hostess because she was that welcoming—not just at the sale, but throughout the entire time of my rental. She always called me by name, and when she saw that I was at the door to load or unload, she would often remotely open it. She not only treated me this way but every customer I saw her interact with. The public spaces were always immaculate, and I often saw Seantay personally patrolling and sweeping up dust or pieces of litter.”
From Extra Space Storage District Manager Jeff Lakevicius: “I have had the pleasure of working with Seantay multiple times throughout my career with Life Storage and now Extra Space Storage, and it has been exciting watching her grow with the company. Seantay goes above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service to every individual who walks through the doors of her facility. She takes the time to listen to customer needs and ensures that they feel valued and supported throughout their storage experience. She takes great pride in her facility and ensures that it always meets our Extra Clean standards and consistently lives our values. I am extremely proud of Seantay for receiving this award, and I knew it was only a matter of time!”
Windy Lopez, Inbound Sales Representative
Windy Lopez is a Sales Representative at the National Solutions Center, where she works hard to create loyal customers with her bright energy and knowledge of storage. Her approach is a testament to the power of personal connections in customer service. We are proud to have Windy on our team and celebrate her outstanding contributions.

My day started horribly but from the time I got on the phone with her, her energy, personality, and willingness to help completely shifted my attitude. She took the time to explain everything to me while helping me make the best decision for my needs. She also allowed me to vent to her about my day and was very encouraging. More customer service agents should be like her because your company just got my business for the rest of my life, and I will be referring this company to others because of the service I received from her today.”
