Each month at Extra Space Storage, we recognize employees who go above and beyond in caring for our customers with our Customer Care Award. We’re happy to announce Wynona Adams as the November 2020 recipient.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Extra Space Storage has led the self storage industry by quickly adjusting company procedures and policies to prioritize customer and employee safety. Allowing customers to complete the entire self storage rental process online was one of many changes that happened in 2020, yet this change hasn’t stopped Adams, a Store Manager in Lihue, HI, from having a lasting impression with customers.
Adams received this comment from a customer who remembered her by name many days after completing their online rental:
“Wynona made my move-in very simple. Initially, I was going with another company, but their policies in light of COVID were not what I would consider customer friendly. I made my reservation online and, within one hour, I was moved into my storage unit. She called me within minutes of booking and made sure that the lock was in the unit. OUTSTANDING!”
Technology allows our customers to interact with us in the way that they choose. And with dedicated employees like Adams, we know our customers can still feel cared for and appreciated despite more frequent virtual interactions as a result of COVID-19.
