Extra Space Storage Opens New Honolulu Self Storage Facility

Extra Space Storage is excited to announce the opening of our new facility in partnership with Baranof Holdings, located at 868 Queen St in Honolulu, HI. This addition is a significant milestone for our third-party management platform, and we are proud to collaborate with Baranof Holdings on another amazing project.

The facility stands out with its stunning Hawaiian-themed mural on the side of the building, capturing the essence of the local culture and adding beauty to the area. It is a five-story climate-controlled building, offering retail and office space on the first floor, making it a versatile space for various needs.

With 1,685 storage units and 99,368 square feet of rentable space, the facility is well-equipped to accommodate a wide range of storage requirements.

“We have had customers waiting for a year for this amazing facility to open,” shared Sr. District Manager Mike Hurst at Extra Space. “One of the unique facts about the site is that most of our early renters are surfers looking for a place to store their boards since the site is close to the beach.”

As we celebrate the opening of this new facility, we extend our thanks to our partners at Baranof Holdings, District Manager Mike Hurst, and the dedicated local team: Store Manager James Flores, Assistant Manager Jase Casias, and Assistant Manager Jeffrey Suen. Their hard work and commitment have been instrumental in getting this store up and running.

We look forward to serving the Honolulu community with our new facility, and providing convenient and secure storage solutions while embracing the local culture and beauty of the area.
