    What Do I Need to Have the Day I Move In?

    If you’ve decided to insure your items outside of the insurance policies offered by Extra Space Storage, you will need to have a copy of your insurance policy, declaration, or the like when you move in. You’re also required to provide your own lock for your storage unit.

    If you forget to bring a lock or need items, such as boxes, packing tape, or move-in kits on move-in day, all of those and more are available for purchase at each of our storage facilities.
