This was such an easy experience! I received a phone call the morning I was planning on checking in and Sue (or Susan) explained all the details that I needed to know. It was very simple and easy to understand. When I showed up at the facility I was greeted by an employee and she immediately helped me get to my unit and explained the locking system. Everything was clean and felt very secure. Thankful for such great customer service!

Having moved to different areas of Los Angeles over the last 20 years, storage facilities have understandably become part of my life. I can tell you from experience that not all storage is created equal. Extra Space storage in Thousand Oaks is by far the best place I have kept my things. It is clean, incredibly secure, actually smells good, and has carts and step ladders always available - and they don’t hold your drivers license hostage while you use them. Even with all that, a storage place is only as good as the people who run it. The assistant manager, Sue is the reason I even am writing this review. She was incredibly helpful getting me set up and even walked me to my unit to make sure my code worked and I understood how the alarm system worked. (Each unit has an alarm that is deactivated when you enter your code, so it’s an added level of security even if someone succeeds in cutting your lock). Sue made the often dreaded task of moving into a new storage unit enjoyable and easy. Cannot recommend this place enough!!
