Store Manager Sarahrose Salazar Gets an Encouraging Visit from a Richmond Customer

In a time when we face so much uncertainty with COVID-19, even a seemingly small act of kindness can make a world of difference in showing that we’re not going through this alone.

Sarahrose Salazar, Store Manager at an Extra Space Storage location in Richmond, VA, can certainly attest to that after a recent surprise visit from one of her self storage customers. The customer visited the facility on Old Staples Mill Rd and had brought a sign for Salazar to show her how much they missed her.

Though the interaction with the customer was brief and required maintaining a safe distance, Salazar believes it exemplifies everything Extra Space Storage strives for when it comes to building customer relationships. When you put in kindness and support, you get kindness and support in return.

“I wanted to share this with you all so you might smile as big as I smiled when I saw this,” said Salazar. “Don’t worry. I stayed six feet away. But to all my teammates at Extra Space Storage, please smile! It’s an encouraging reminder of why we’re here—to help people.”

Extra Space Storage is committed to providing an exceptional self storage experience for every customer. Caring for, appreciating, informing, and helping our customers to their better tomorrow is what we’re all about—no matter if we’re social distancing or interacting in person.
