Depending on the storage facility and the size of your vehicle, you will have a few different options to choose from when storing a car or motorcycle in a storage unit:
Indoor Vehicle Storage
Available at locations with drive-up access units for vehicle storage use
Provides the best protection from the elements
Can be more expensive and limited for certain vehicles
Outdoor Vehicle Storage
The most common vehicle storage offering at Extra Space Storage
Affordable parking spaces that can handle small and large vehicles
Doesn't provide protection from the elements
Covered Vehicle Storage
Commonly used for boat and RV storage due to large stall sizes
Provides some protection from the elements
Not as widely available as indoor and outdoor vehicle storage
When it comes to car storage, most cars can typically fit inside a 10x20 (or larger) drive-up storage unit. With motorcycle storage, a 5x10 drive-up storage unit (or larger) will work just fine.
