Depending on the storage facility and the size of your vehicle, you will have a few different options to choose from when storing a car or motorcycle in a storage unit:

  • Can be more expensive and limited for certain vehicles

• Outdoor Vehicle Storage

  • The most common vehicle storage offering at Extra Space Storage

  • Affordable parking spaces that can handle small and large vehicles

  • Doesn't provide protection from the elements

• Covered Vehicle Storage

  • Commonly used for boat and RV storage due to large stall sizes

  • Provides some protection from the elements

  • Not as widely available as indoor and outdoor vehicle storage

When it comes to car storage, most cars can typically fit inside a 10x20 (or larger) drive-up storage unit. With motorcycle storage, a 5x10 drive-up storage unit (or larger) will work just fine.
