I went to my storage unit today to drop off a few bags and what should have been a 30-minute visit turned into a 4-hour ordeal. The majority of my belongings were covered in rodent feces and urine, including furniture, clothing, bedding, books, and storage bags. I ended up having to throw away a significant amount of property and move whatever wasn't visibly contaminated into a smaller unit because I hadn't planned for a full move or rented a truck. Beyond the infestation issue, the facility itself feels poorly maintained. One of the hallway doors was propped open with a can of tuna, and it appeared that some people may be living out of their units or storing food on site. Also found a used condom while having to drag my stuff between floors. The overall condition of the building did not inspire confidence. I'm currently traveling and unfortunately have to leave my remaining belongings here for another two months because this happened with no warning. If you're considering storage in the area, I'd strongly recommend spending the extra money for U-Haul across the street or another facility. My experience here has been incredibly disappointing. The two guys on site were helpful atleast.
