I am writing to warn others about the deceptive business practices at this storage facility. When I signed my lease, I was offered an introductory rate of $240, only to receive a notice a few months later that my rate was being increased to $450, a massive jump that essentially doubles the cost. This is a classic "bait-and-switch" strategy commonly used by large operators in the self-storage industry. They lure you in with low, promotional pricing, knowing that once you have spent the time and money to move your belongings into the unit, the high logistical burden of moving everything out will keep you "locked in." While they justify this by citing fine-print clauses that allow for unilateral price adjustments, it is a misleading way to do business that ignores the reality of the customer experience. I understand that such hikes may be technically legal under the terms of their month-to-month contracts, but that does not make the practice any less predatory or unethical. Potential customers should be aware that these initial "deals" are often traps, and they should expect significant, unexpected price hikes shortly after move-in. I strongly advise looking for a more transparent facility to avoid being caught in this cycle.
