Her kindness, honesty, and attention to detail made an overwhelming experience so much easier. What truly sets Amanda apart is that she genuinely CARES about the people she helps. I first contacted Amanda in February 2026 when I needed somewhere safe to store several large, irreplaceable family heirlooms, including my grandmother’s beautiful antique china hutch. These aren’t just pieces of furniture to me. They hold generations of memories and tremendous sentimental value, and I wanted to make absolutely certain they would be properly protected until I have a home large enough to enjoy them. Having never rented a storage unit before, I had no idea where to begin. Thankfully, I found Amanda! From our very first conversation, she was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, professional, and genuinely kind. She took the time to understand exactly what I needed, helped me choose an appropriately sized climate-controlled unit, and explained how to protect my antique furniture during the move and while in storage. I initially reached out in February, but between finding movers and coordinating logistics, I ended up putting everything on hold for months. When I finally reached back out in November, Amanda immediately remembered me, my grandmother’s furniture, and the details we’d discussed NINE MONTHS earlier! I was absolutely blown away. I didn’t have to start over or explain everything again. Even though she had transferred from the Beech Hill Road location in Summerville to another branch, she continued helping me find the best available unit and rate at the location that made the most sense for my needs. She never pressured me, tried to upsell me, or made me feel rushed. Instead, she patiently explained pricing, insurance options, and available units so I could make an informed decision. She communicated with me through text messages, reviewed pictures of my furniture, helped me work through dimensions, and even coordinated practical details for the moving truck, including parking and a unit near the elevator. Every question I had was met with patience, reassurance, and a thoughtful explanation. And believe me, I had A LOT of questions! I went back and forth for months. Not once did Amanda make me feel like I was bothering her. Storage can feel intimidating, especially when you’re trusting a company with belongings that are truly priceless to your family. Amanda completely changed that experience for me. Her transparency about costs, her willingness to explain how everything works, and her thoughtful advice about protecting my furniture gave me tremendous peace of mind. In a world where genuinely outstanding customer service can feel increasingly rare, Amanda is an absolute standout. She combines professionalism and expertise with warmth, honesty, empathy, and a level of personal attention that you simply cannot teach. Most importantly, Amanda understood that these weren’t just things I needed to put somewhere. They were my grandmother’s belongings, filled with memories, that I hope to have in my own home someday. She treated their importance with the same care and respect that I do, and that means more than I can adequately express. Extra Space Storage is incredibly fortunate to have someone like Amanda representing its company. I sincerely hope management recognizes just how exceptional she is, because employees who consistently go this far above and beyond deserve to be celebrated!
